Trump Wins: We Can’t Be like Democrats and Defend Indiscriminately

The impossible has happened and the evil empire has been defeated. It’s time to celebrate and do whatever we want, right? Absolutely not. If Donald Trump is a bad president than everything will go right back to the Democrats in four years. So, the first thing every young ecstatic conservative needs to do is evaluate what they want out of this presidency. For me the list is extensive:

1.) I want some of the power reduced in the federal government and given to the states
2.) For the US to balance the budget and start chipping away at that debt and cut down on entitlements.
3.) We need to build a wall and start working on an extensive and fair immigration plan.
4.) We need to reduce regulations on business’s and reduce both the corporate and personal income tax. And complete repeal obamacare
5.) We need to tear up that deal with Iran and make a new one, where they can’t get a nuke.
6.) We need to curb terrorism and do whatever it takes to defeat ISIS
7.) We need to embolden are allies like Israel and England and basically reduce everything the Democrats have done over the past 8 years
8.) And my most important want, in every election, is to reduce the size of the overall government.

The Democrats never held Barrack Obama accountable for anything because he was their Messiah and could do no wrong. Sometimes I get the feeling that conservatives think of Trump this way. But this undying loyalty is the reason there was such a negative reaction within the Democratic party in this election. Now if we don’t make sure Trump holds up to are ideals than the Republican party will look hopeless and we will give the power right back the Democrats. Remember that a lot of damage was done under President Obama but not only do we have to undo that damage but we also have to rebuild a lot of other areas within our country.

We need to innovate hold ourselves responsible along with Donald Trump, to build this country up. Part of the deal of being conservative is we love self-reliance and believe that the individual builds the country not government. If we leave it all up to one man to fix everything than we are no better than our big government loving adversaries.

It is a wonderful and surprising revelation that Donald Trump won. But it’s basically like getting out of prison. Sure, it’s great that we have an opportunity to be free, but we still need to put in the work to be successful. Also, remember that we were just sidelined for 8 years so were going to have to adjust to this new free outside world!
